Bachelor of Accounting

The programme aims to equip the learners with attitude, knowledge and skills in financial reporting, auditing, taxation and information systems for modern job market. This is in tandem with University of Embu mission which is “To generate, advance and disseminate knowledge through training, research and innovation for the development of humanity”. Graduates of the program are capable of handling operations in a modern accounting office: identifying relevant information, processing it, communicating it, and effectively applying it in making economic and value-added decisions. The graduates are capable of offering an all rounded accounting consultancy service to firms.

Admission Requirements
The minimum admission requirement for the Bachelor of Accounting:
a)    Holder of KCSE certificate with a minimum mean grade of C+ plus a minimum of C in both Mathematics and English/Kiswahili: or
b)    Holder of KCSE certificate with a minimum mean grade of C- or O-level Division III plus a diploma from a recognized institution., or
c)    Holder of CPA/CPS Part II or equivalent professional qualification
d)    Holder of KACE certificate with a minimum of two principal passes plus a minimum of a credit pass in Mathematics at KCE, or
e)    Holder of KACE certificate with a minimum of two subsidiary passes plus a Diploma from a recognized institution, or
f)    Holder of a degree from a recognized university, or
g)    Holder of qualifications deemed to be equivalent to any of the above.
