Short Biography:
Isaiah Maket, PhD, is a 2025 Denise O’Leary and Kent Thiry Sustainability Fellow, a collaborative and creative insights research, data analytics, and project management leader with over ten years of experience in research, data collection and analysis, evidence generation, and consultancy.
I lead and support multidisciplinary research projects with the intersectionality of gender equality and social inclusion, training and capacity building, and policy engagement for sustainable economic development in Africa.
With over ten years of cumulative research experience, Maket brings strong competencies in research conceptualisation and implementation, grant proposal writing, rigorous data collection and analysis, resource mobilisation, project thought leadership, stakeholder and policy engagement. He has supported numerous research projects through fundraising, coordination, communication, and inclusive dissemination, consistently fostering a thriving and collaborative research environment for colleagues and partners. His research excellence has been recognised through several awards, including the 2025 Outstanding Young Researcher of the Year by the University of Embu, the 2022 African Economic Research Consortium (AERC) PhD Thesis Award in Human Capital Development, and the 2020 Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship by Tempus Foundation and the European Union.
